APPLY TO THE ORDINATION QUALIFYING EXAM
“But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless.” (1 Timothy 3:10)
وَإِنَّمَا هَؤُلاَءِ أَيْضاً لِيُخْتَبَرُوا أَوَّلاً، ثُمَّ يَتَشَمَّسُوا إِنْ كَانُوا بِلاَ لَوْمٍ. (1 تيموثاوس 3 :10)
Qu’on les éprouve d’abord, et qu’ils exercent ensuite leur ministère, s’ils sont sans reproche. (1 Timothée 3 :10)
❖The purpose of the qualifying exam is to make sure that the candidate to be ordained is well prepared to start his new service, is dedicated and committed to the service and his experience is ever fulfilling paving the way to further growth in the love of God, The Church, and the service
❖The qualifying exam consists of testing the candidate in the following areas:
- Understanding of the learned Material (Knowledge of Rituals and its meaning)
- Excellent memorization of the Psalms, responses, and Hymns
- The maturity in applying the Church and Altar Ethics
❖Upon successful passing the qualifying exam, the candidate will receive a certificate of Completion of the program.
❖On this certificate, there will be an oath that the candidate will sign confirming his commitment to the service of the Lord and to his duties as a deacon.
❖This certificate of completion entitles the candidate to be ordained by the bishop when scheduled by the church priests.
